First seen Feb 06, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding computer-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT4CBT) and peer recovery coaching to standard buprenorphine treatment helps adults with opioid use disorder reduce drug use. 92 adults taking buprenorphine were randomly assigned to receive standard care alone, standard care plus CBT4CBT, or standard care plus both CBT4CBT and coaching. The main goal was to see if these extra supports lowered the number of positive saliva drug tests during the 8-week treatment period.
