Can ancient medicine help predict modern bone breaks?
NCT ID NCT07321795
Summary
This study aims to build a better warning system for osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures (OVCF), which are painful spine breaks. Researchers will follow 200 people with varying bone health, from normal to having had a fracture. They will collect a wide range of data, including Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) diagnoses, bone scans, blood tests, and pain surveys, to find patterns that predict fracture risk.
