Ovarian puncture may boost egg yield in women with low reserve

NCT ID NCT07568639

First seen May 18, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study looks at whether making small punctures in the ovary during egg retrieval can improve egg count in women with diminished ovarian reserve (low egg supply). About 214 women undergoing IVF will be randomly assigned to get the punctures or standard care. The main goal is to see if this technique leads to more eggs in a later treatment cycle.
