Saving ovaries: study aims to protect future fertility in young girls

NCT ID NCT06852313

Summary

This study aims to find the best surgical method for treating simple ovarian cysts in girls and adolescents. Researchers are comparing two minimally invasive techniques to see which one better preserves the ovary's egg supply and reduces the chance of the cyst coming back. The study will enroll 80 participants aged 1 to 18 years who need surgery for a cyst. The goal is to guide surgeons toward the approach that best protects long-term reproductive health.
