Glowing dye could help surgeons spot hidden ovarian cancer

Summary

This study is testing a drug called Gleolan that makes ovarian cancer tumors glow under blue light during surgery. The goal is to help surgeons see and remove more cancerous tissue than they can with standard methods alone. The trial will involve about 170 women with suspected new or returning ovarian cancer who are scheduled for tumor-removal surgery.
