Blood test guides Life-Saving surgery timing in ovarian cancer trial

NCT ID NCT07382479

Summary

This international study aims to improve treatment for advanced ovarian cancer by personalizing the timing of surgery. Patients first receive three cycles of chemotherapy. A special blood test score (KELIM) then determines their next steps: patients with a good score have surgery sooner, while those with a poorer score receive more chemotherapy before surgery. The goal is to see if this tailored approach helps patients live longer and improves their quality of life.
