Home or hospital? study tests where you recover best after ankle surgery
NCT ID NCT05389436
Summary
This study compared whether people recover just as well at home versus staying in the hospital after surgery for a broken ankle. Researchers randomly assigned 86 adults with stable ankle fractures to either go home the same day or stay in the hospital. They measured recovery, pain, return to work, and complications over 12 weeks to see which approach worked better.
