First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 22 times
Summary
This study looked at whether laparoscopic promontofixation, a common surgery for pelvic organ prolapse, can be safely done as an outpatient procedure. Researchers followed 60 women to see how many needed to be readmitted to the hospital after going home the same day. The goal was to see if same-day discharge is feasible without raising complications or harming quality of life.
