Hands-On therapy tested for chronic back pain relief

NCT ID NCT07465068

Summary

This study tested whether adding a specific type of hands-on therapy (visceral osteopathic manual therapy) to standard physical therapy could help people with long-term lower back pain from a herniated disc. Forty adults with this condition were split into two groups: one received standard therapy, and the other received standard therapy plus the osteopathic techniques. Researchers measured changes in pain levels, daily function, and overall quality of life.
