New hope for controlling dangerous blood pressure in rare hormone disorder

NCT ID NCT07247162

Summary

This study is testing a medication called osilodrostat to see if it can help control high blood pressure in adults with Cushing's syndrome, a condition caused by too much of the stress hormone cortisol. For 30 weeks, about 63 participants will receive either the real drug or a placebo pill to compare results. The main goal is to see if the drug can safely bring cortisol levels back to normal and lower blood pressure in people whose high blood pressure is linked to their Cushing's.
