Summary

This study tested an experimental drug called orvepitant to see if it could reduce chronic coughing in people with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF), a lung-scarring disease. About 80 adults with IPF and a persistent cough that didn't respond to other treatments took part. Participants received orvepitant and a placebo at different times, and researchers measured changes in coughing severity using a daily rating scale.
