First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 15 times
Summary
This study tested whether wearing an external brace (orthosis) for 3 months could help realign the big toe joint in 35 people with mild to moderate bunions. Researchers measured changes in the toe angle on X-rays, as well as pain, comfort, and how well participants stuck with the treatment. Results were compared to a control group not using the brace.
