Braces breakthrough? new wire aims for less pain, faster straightening
NCT ID NCT06653881
Summary
This study compared two types of wires used at the start of braces treatment. Researchers wanted to see if a newer copper-nickel-titanium wire straightened teeth faster and caused less pain than a standard nickel-titanium wire. They measured pain objectively with a biomarker in mouth fluid and subjectively with patient surveys over 12 weeks.
