New 'Heat-Activated' braces wire put to the test
NCT ID NCT07176871
Summary
This study compared two sequences of wires used in braces to straighten crowded front teeth. Forty young patients had their braces wires randomly assigned to either a newer 'heat-activated' type or a conventional type. Researchers tracked how quickly teeth straightened, any changes to tooth roots and jawbone, and how much pain patients felt over six months.
