Braces move faster in fresh tooth holes, study finds
NCT ID NCT07445321
Summary
This study aimed to find out if closing the gaps left by tooth extractions happens faster if braces start pulling teeth together immediately or after waiting for the site to heal. Researchers worked with 34 young adults who had four specific teeth removed as part of their braces treatment. They compared one side of the mouth where the gap was closed right away to the other side where they waited six weeks, measuring how much the space closed each month.
