Tiny screws vs. wire stoppers: the battle for a better bite

NCT ID NCT06416904

Summary

This study compared two different methods for controlling tooth movement during orthodontic treatment (braces) in young adult female patients. Researchers tested whether using a small arch wire stopper was as effective as placing tiny temporary screws in the jawbone to anchor teeth in place. The goal was to see which technique better prevented unwanted tooth movement while correcting the alignment of the front teeth.
