Summary

This study in Bauchi, Nigeria tests whether giving free Oral Rehydration Salts (ORS) and zinc to homes with children under 5 increases the use of these treatments when diarrhea strikes. Over 100,000 households are randomly assigned to receive the supplies early or later. Researchers will track how often caregivers use ORS over the next year.
