First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looks at 422 stroke patients with trouble swallowing to see if a feeding tube placed through the mouth and esophagus helps them recover faster than the standard tube through the nose. The goal is to find which method improves swallowing function more quickly and is just as safe. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two feeding approaches.
