Summary
This early-stage study aimed to find a safe and effective single dose of the antibiotic oritavancin for children under 18 with serious bacterial infections. It tested how the drug moves through a child's body and monitored for side effects. The study started with older children and worked down to infants to carefully check safety at each step.
