First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tests a new way to choose cancer drugs for people with advanced biliary tract cancer that cannot be removed by surgery. Doctors will take a small sample of the tumor, grow it in the lab as a mini-organoid, and test different drug combinations to see which works best. 88 participants will either get standard treatment or a treatment chosen based on organoid test results. The goal is to see if this personalized approach leads to better tumor shrinkage and longer time without cancer growth.
