First seen May 01, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tested whether a special discharge education program based on Orem's Self-Care Theory helps women recover better after a hysterectomy. Sixty-four women who had the surgery (but not for cancer) took part. Half received the enhanced teaching, and half got standard instructions. The results showed that the extra teaching improved their confidence and recovery quality four weeks after surgery.
