Doctors map blood flow changes after eye surgery
NCT ID NCT07393230
Summary
This study looked at how a surgical procedure called balanced orbital decompression affects blood flow in and around the eyes of people with thyroid-associated orbitopathy. Researchers followed 15 patients who were already scheduled for this surgery to relieve eye pressure and bulging. They measured blood flow in eye arteries and veins before and after surgery using specialized imaging techniques to understand how the procedure impacts circulation.
