Is orange juice better for your blood sugar than soda?

NCT ID NCT06638190

Summary

This study aimed to understand if the natural components in orange juice, like fiber and vitamins, affect how the body absorbs sugar compared to a sugary drink with the same amount of sugar. Researchers tested 25 healthy men by having them drink different beverages, including pure orange juice and sugar water, and then measured their blood sugar and insulin levels over two hours. The goal was to see if the 'fruit matrix' in juice makes a difference in the body's sugar response.
