Pregnancy anemia showdown: pills vs. injections in Late-Stage treatment race
NCT ID NCT07485023
Summary
This study compares two approaches for treating anemia diagnosed after 34 weeks of pregnancy. Researchers want to know if starting with oral iron pills (with IV iron as backup) works as well as immediately using IV iron injections. The trial will involve 128 pregnant women with low hemoglobin levels to see which method better improves blood counts before delivery.
