Pill vs. needle: new hope for easier heart infection treatment

Summary
This study is testing whether taking antibiotics by mouth is as effective and safe as receiving them through an IV for people with a serious heart infection called infective endocarditis. It involves 360 adults who have already received initial IV treatment. The goal is to see if switching to pills can improve quality of life and reduce costs without increasing risks like relapse or death.
