Ointment vs mouthwash: which better soothes Radiation-Induced mouth sores?
NCT ID NCT07186114
Summary
This study compared two treatments for painful mouth sores (oral mucositis) caused by radiation therapy in cancer patients. Thirty-six adults with established sores were randomly assigned to use either MEBO ointment or Tantum Verde mouthwash three times daily for two weeks. Researchers measured the severity of the sores and patient-reported symptoms to see which treatment worked better.
