First seen Mar 06, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study involved about 600 adults aged 18 to 80 who used either a lozenge, a water additive, or a control product for 60 days. Researchers collected mouth swabs and surveys to see how these products changed the bacteria and other tiny organisms in the mouth. The goal was to better understand links between oral care, diet, stress, and overall health.
