Scientists stop toothbrushing to unlock Mouth-Body health secrets

NCT ID NCT06966492

Summary

This study aims to understand the connection between gum inflammation, the bacteria in your mouth, and your body's overall immune response. Researchers will track 20 healthy adults as they temporarily stop brushing a section of their teeth to intentionally induce mild gum inflammation, then resume brushing to observe recovery. The goal is to gather knowledge about how oral health influences the rest of the body.
