Summary
This study aimed to create and validate a questionnaire to understand how people with schizophrenia perceive their own oral health. Researchers asked 59 adults with long-term schizophrenia to complete several surveys about their mouth, memory, mood, and quality of life. The goal is to use this new tool to better design dental care and prevention programs for this group, which often has significant oral health problems.
