Smart toothbrush & coaching aim to fight gum disease in dementia
NCT ID NCT04390750
Summary
This study tested whether a special coaching program for care partners could help improve the oral health of people living with mild dementia. Sixty participants and their care partners were split into groups; some received a smart toothbrush and coaching on brushing techniques, while others just got basic information. The goal was to see if this support could reduce plaque, improve gum health, and make daily brushing routines easier to manage.
