New pill aims to stop dangerous swelling attacks

NCT ID NCT07266805

Summary

This study is testing a new oral medication called deucrictibant for adults with a rare condition called acquired angioedema, which causes sudden, severe swelling. The trial has two main goals: to see if a daily pill can prevent attacks from happening, and to see if a fast-acting capsule can relieve symptoms when an attack occurs. About 32 participants will help researchers compare the drug's effects to a placebo over several months.
