Electric vs. manual: the battle for better ICU mouth care
NCT ID NCT07200297
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to keep the mouth clean and healthy for patients in intensive care who are on non-invasive breathing machines. Researchers will compare three methods: standard mouthwash care alone, adding an electric toothbrush, or adding a manual toothbrush. The goal is to see which approach best prevents mouth problems and maintains oral health during critical illness.
