NCT ID NCT01269190

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 33 times

Summary

This study tests whether a special camera and a fluorescent dye can help doctors see which mouth sores are precancerous or cancerous. About 275 adults with mouth lesions who are already scheduled for surgery will have their mouths imaged before the procedure. The goal is to develop a non-invasive way to diagnose oral cancer, potentially reducing the need for biopsies.
