Gentle brush test could revolutionize cancer screening for rare genetic disorder

NCT ID NCT07242261

Summary

This study aims to test a less painful brush biopsy method for detecting early mouth cancer in people with Fanconi anaemia. It will enroll 115 participants aged 15 and older who have this genetic condition and at least one suspicious spot in their mouth. The goal is to see if this simple brushing technique can accurately identify dangerous cells, allowing for more frequent and comfortable monitoring to catch cancer sooner.
