Can a tiny adjustment to a mouthpiece make a big difference for sleep apnea?
NCT ID NCT05056766
Summary
This study tested how small adjustments to a dental mouthpiece affect sleep apnea. Researchers worked with 20 adults who have moderate sleep apnea or severe apnea where a CPAP machine didn't work. They measured sleep breathing and daytime sleepiness as they moved the mouthpiece forward one millimeter at a time.
