Summary
This study tested a new under-the-tongue film (DESF) designed to deliver epinephrine, the standard emergency medicine for severe allergic reactions. Researchers compared how the body absorbs the medicine from this film versus a standard injection in 36 adults with oral allergy syndrome. The goal was to see if this new, easier-to-use film could effectively control allergic symptoms triggered by foods like apples or celery.
