First seen May 09, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tested different support strategies to help women at high risk for HIV in South Africa keep taking their daily prevention pill (PrEP). 304 female sex workers and young women were given a combination of case management, food vouchers, peer support, or community pick-up points. The goal was to see which methods work best for long-term PrEP use, so these services can be expanded to other areas.
