Study tests gentler vs. stronger light for childhood birthmarks
NCT ID NCT07353385
Summary
This study aimed to find the best light settings for a treatment that reduces the appearance of port-wine stain birthmarks. It compared a gentler, longer light exposure to a stronger, shorter one in 33 children, keeping the total light dose the same. Doctors measured how much the birthmarks faded three months after a single treatment session.
