NCT ID NCT05794945

First seen Mar 23, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study is observing 300 breastfeeding women to better understand what causes mastitis (breast inflammation). Researchers want to find out if symptoms are due to infection or just inflammation, and how bacteria in milk and on the skin change during and after mastitis. The goal is to create better guidelines so antibiotics are used only when truly needed.
