Timing is everything: new study seeks optimal window for PE treatment

Summary
This study is for adults with a severe type of pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the lungs). It aims to find out if the timing of treatment to restore blood flow (called reperfusion) affects survival and complications. Researchers will observe 500 patients across Italy to see how the time from hospital arrival to treatment relates to outcomes.
