Balloon breakthrough: new hope for blocked ureters?

Summary

This study tests a special balloon coated with medication to open narrowed sections of the tube that carries urine from the kidney to the bladder. About 60 adults with a single stricture up to 4 cm long will receive the treatment. The goal is to see if it safely restores urine flow and improves kidney function without needing repeat procedures.
