New study offers personal navigators to pregnant moms battling opioid addiction

Summary
This study tests whether a Patient Navigator—a personal guide—can help pregnant women with opioid use disorder stay in care, stick with medication, and reduce drug use. About 429 participants will be randomly assigned to usual care or extra support from a navigator. The study lasts up to 14 months and includes surveys and optional phone or video visits.
