New study aims to keep moms in recovery during pregnancy

Summary

This study looks at whether having a Patient Navigator—a guide who helps connect people with services—can help pregnant women with opioid use disorder stay in care and reduce drug use. About 429 pregnant women will be randomly assigned to either usual care or extra support from a navigator. The goal is to improve treatment and outcomes for both moms and babies.
