ER study aims to catch hidden infections in pregnant women

Summary
This study will see if offering a rapid, combined HIV and syphilis test to pregnant women in the emergency department helps find more infections and start treatment sooner. About 1,400 pregnant women who have not had regular prenatal care will be included. The goal is to improve health for both mothers and babies by catching these infections early.
