Quick ER test could catch hidden infections in pregnant women

Summary
This study looks at whether offering a rapid HIV and syphilis test to pregnant women in the emergency department helps find more infections and start treatment faster. About 1,400 pregnant women who have not had regular prenatal care or prior testing will be included. The goal is to improve early treatment for both the mother and baby.
