New study aims to curb opioid overprescribing by dentists

Summary
This study looks at whether giving dentists personalized reports and educational materials can reduce how often they prescribe opioids for dental pain. Over 3,400 dentists in British Columbia will take part. Researchers will compare prescribing habits between groups that receive the materials early versus later to see if the approach works.
