NCT ID NCT07288424
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested a new way to manage pain after NUSS surgery for teens with pectus excavatum (a sunken chest). Instead of using opioids, doctors used ultrasound-guided nerve blocks with a long-lasting numbing medicine. The approach aimed to control severe pain safely without opioids. Seventeen teens took part, and the results suggest this method could be a good opioid-free option.
