Summary
This study compared two types of general anesthesia during hip replacement surgery: one using opioid pain medications and one without opioids. Researchers wanted to understand how these different approaches affect heart function and patient recovery after surgery. The study involved 120 patients undergoing scheduled hip replacement to see which method might be safer and more effective.
