NCT ID NCT06390046
First seen May 07, 2026 ยท Last updated May 07, 2026
Summary
This study looked at 280 adults having weight-loss surgery to compare two types of opioid-free anesthesia: total intravenous (IV) anesthesia and inhaled anesthesia. The goal was to see which method better prevents nausea and vomiting in the first 24 hours after surgery. Both methods are already used in practice, but there is no clear evidence that one is better for bariatric patients.
