Summary
This study looks at how opioids affect the diaphragm, the main muscle used for breathing. Researchers will measure diaphragm strength using ultrasound in 69 adults having leg or hip surgery. The goal is to understand if opioids make it harder for the diaphragm to produce strong breaths.
