Study tests which surgery for enlarged testicle veins heals faster
NCT ID NCT07353164
Summary
This study compared two surgical techniques for treating varicocele, a condition where veins around the testicle become enlarged and can cause pain or fertility issues. It involved 100 men aged 20-60 to see if a newer, minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery led to shorter operation times, quicker hospital discharge, and fewer infections compared to traditional open surgery.
